July 15, 2010 129 Miles Completed 8:00 pm

WE MADE IT! 129 miles. Ed Coss and I rode 105 mile uphill to the Eastern Continental Divide and then 24 miles @ 20+ mph down to Cumberland. Alice kept us supplied with water, gatorade, and oranges. Bethany updated the blog with pics we sent by texting.

Rolled into Cumberland just as the 8 pm church bells were ringing.
Thanks everyone! More donors pledged today. We should have over $21,000 for the school's scholarship fund.
Time for a shower and a good meal...............

July 14, 1010 - The GAP'R Begins

Headed to Pittsburgh with Alice and church member Ed Coss who will ride with me tomorrow. The after school children were waving while we celebrated with the vuvuzela. Alice hopes we will stop blowing it soon.
Thanks everyone! We are now at little over $200 a mile. Had dinner in Mt. Washington in Pittsburgh. Just beautiful. Now watching the Tour De France for bicycling dreams . . . . .
